Freshman year in my ISTA 100 class we were tasked with identifying a current case of bad user design, and come up with possible solutions.

For this project I chose the parking garage machinery, which forces people to expend a lot of energy just to get a ticket or pay for exiting. It’s also not a universal design as those with disabilities might have more difficulty operating this kind of machinery.
