Sophomore year in my PAH 230 class, in which we viewed games as historical artifacts I wrote a meta-analytical analysis of a video game of my choosing. For this assignment I wrote about Stray and how professional and player reviews utilize a games aesthetics to draw conclusions on a game’s success or failures.

In the same class for my final project I conducted a dissection of the aesthetic components in Stray, visuals, character & design and environment. In doing so, I was able to ascertain that the culmination of all these aesthetic characteristics coming together that make a unique gameplay experience.

My professor loved these papers so much that he asked for permission to use these as examples for future classes.
